International Women's Day breakfast at Dominic College
with special guest speaker, Dr Naomi Tomlinson
International Women's Day is celebrated 8 March all around the world and is an opportunity to commemorate the achievements of girls and women, locally and globally.
At Dominic College, we will mark this day on Wednesday 8 March with a wonderful gathering of girls and women from our community. Girls in Years 5-10 and their mothers, grandmothers or older friends are invited to come together with our teachers and Old Scholars for breakfast 7.15am–8.30am in the Savio Centre.
Dr Naomi Tomlinson (Class of 1995) graduated from Dominic, GYC and the University of Tasmania, gaining her medical degree, and specialising in paediatrics. She is part of the Hobart Paediatrics Group in the Calvary Augusta Road complex, and continues to strive to meet the dual challenges of being a mother and a doctor.
Tickets for the breakfast are $10 and must be booked on-line:
BOOK IWD 2017 BREAKFAST TICKETS or visit Frances in the College Business Office in Grantleigh.
Proceeds from the breakfast go towards scholarships for girls to attend our Salesian sister school, Don Bosco High School in Salelologa Samoa.
