Opening Mass and Ash Wednesday

On Wednesday 1 March, the College celebrated our Opening Mass and Ash Wednesday liturgy.

Fr Bernie Graham SDB, Vice Provincial of the Salesians of Don Bosco, presided over the Mass with the assistance of Fr Nick Castelyns SDB.

Our College student leaders led the service with prayers as we gave thanks for the school and our friends, and we made promises to try to be better people, for God and for each other.

Sr Pamela Davis OP was honoured for reaching her jubilee marking 60 years of her profession to the Dominican Order. Congratulations Sr Pam.

Br Michael Morrow was honoured for reaching a milestone anniversary of 10 years in profession to the Salesian order. Well done, Br Michael.

At the end of the proceedings, all staff and students received a blessing with the ashes to mark the beginning of our Lenten journey.
