At the Dance Eisteddfod

Success and fun at the 2018 Dance Eisteddfod!

Once again Dominic students and families enjoyed an eight day extravaganza of performing and watching dance at the 2018 Southern Tasmanian Dance Eisteddfod.

The eisteddfod began on the last day of Term 2, Friday 6 July, with the schools section and both our dance groups, the Year 8 Elective Dance and the Year 9/10 Elective Dance classes were excellent.

Our Year 8 group achieved a Highly Commended award and our Year 9/10 group won !st place in the secondary schools section, the second year in a row.

This outstanding result even though the groups were competing against senior students studying dance for their TCE. You can see their performances on our Youtube channel: Dominic College.

Then for the rest of the eisteddfod individual students, families and dance schools performed in the full range of dance styles, ages and with their friends at the Derwent Entertainment Centre.
