On Wednesday afternoon, the Savio Centre was filled with our wonderful K-2 parents, and grandparents as they gathered to be inspired by the carol singing of our students in the Early Years classes.
Our K-2 students sang with excellent musicality and sincere tenderness and joy. There was not a dry eye in the gathering as we heard beautiful renditions of traditional carols such as Silent Night and Noel.
The students and Mr Martin Smith, our K-2 Music teacher, are to be commended on the excellent standard of their singing and the focus and discipline with which they approached the occasion.
Thank you to all students, families and staff for the beautiful angel and shepherd costumes, and for the kings, wise men and sheep. Mr Joe Moore looked spectacular dressed as one of the nativity sheep and Mr Daniel Bellinger and our K-2 teachers made for some wonderful angels. Mr Michael Voss appeared from the East as the only wise man!
A special thank you to our College donkeys and sheep who arrived to the surprise of everyone and stood amongst bales of hay as a living nativity scene. Mrs Jane Myers and Year 9 student Melanie Cooper, did an excellent job in providing for us a realistic Bethlehem tableaux outside the Savio Centre.

I hope our families will take up the opportunity of joining a church for community worship over Christmas and that you will also have the chance to attend one of the many community carols taking place. Our own music students will be involved in the Glenorchy Carols this Saturday night.
