The biennial Dominic College Creative Arts Festival will be held at the Salamanca Arts Centre next month.
During the week of the Festival, the Salamanca Arts Centre, Hobart’s creative hub, will became a focus of exhibition, performance and teaching and learning for our students.
The art exhibition, comprising K-10 individual and collaborative student art will range from painting, drawing and print works to photography and short films. We hope that there will be a constant flow of students and families through the gallery from the Thursday through to Saturday night of the Festival.
All students, parents and staff will receive an invitation in the mail to the Festival launch which will take place on Wednesday 29 August at 6.00 pm in the midst of the exhibition of our K-10 student artwork at the Long Gallery. Please put the date in your calendar.
The Festival will also provide our Creative Arts students with enrichment extensions in Music, Drama and Visual Arts through participation in Master Classes taught at the Arts Centre by external professional arts practitioners.
