Derwent Valley Concert Band Spring School set to attract over 80 musicians
The Derwent Valley Concert band is holding their 4th annual Spring School on the weekend of the 5-7 October, at Dominic College.
The Derwent Valley Concert Band is extending an invitation to all woodwind, brass and percussion musicians to participate in the three-day workshop. At the conclusion of the Spring School a small concert will be given starting at 3pm.
The spring school will cost $50 per person and covers all meals and tuition. This year we have guest conductors Nathaniel Griffiths and Simon Reade working with the program. Both Nathaniel and Simon are excellent musicians and are very accomplished conductors of the two A grade bands in southern Tasmania.
As part of the Spring School all participants will be given the opportunity to participate in small group tutorials given by highly skilled professional tutors from around Hobart, as well as a social event on the Saturday concluding at 8pm.
To register for the event please visit dvcb.org and complete the online registration form or email workshop@dvcb.org or call 0429 203 518 with any questions.
