During the recent holidays, two Dominic College Students, Ben Dowling and Tori Stringer, along with old scholars Jessica Macfarlane and Lisa McConnon, flew to Melbourne for Don Bosco Senior Winter Camp 2017, 9 July to 13 July.
The week was packed full of fun, laughter, games and amazing food! There is never a dull moment on camp. One moment we might be having a sand sculpture competition on the beach then we are all on the bus to go roller-skating!
What makes Don Bosco Camp so very special is the people. From the leaders who give up time from university and work to create the activities, to the wonderful staff that work at the camp and of course the amazing campers. Everyone at Don Bosco camp comes together to create a wonderful camp family full of love and joy. We spend 5 wonderful days together creating memories and lasting friendships.
On the final day of camp, it’s always hard to say good-bye but, we all know it’s not forever because we will all be back again for Senior Summer Camp 2018 in January. Anyone who is interested in getting involved in the Salesian Youth Dominic College (SYDC) or the Don Bosco Camps feel free to get in touch. It is a truly worthwhile and rewarding experience.
