The annual DOSA Football Best & Fairest Awards dinner on Friday night, finished the year off in style.
President of the club, Mr Luke Golding presided over proceedings with panache.
There were a variety of speeches, many reflecting on the challenges of returning each year to face the quest for elusive pemierships. Those same speakers also praised the community nature of the club, and the way all the players, supporters and their families, rally around each other.
There were some very worthy award-winners including Seniors B&F Mitch Reeve, Reserves B&F Lucas Henderson, Seniors Coach’s Trophy Brendan Midson, Reserves Coach’s Award Joe Doyle and Bill Caplice Outstanding Achievement Brendan Loveless.
Mr Michael Golding was awarded the President’s Trophy for his unrelenting support and hard work around the club, and Mr Scott Bryan was awarded Clubman of the Year for his amazing support of the facilities and the supporters at the games each week.
There will be some changes to coaches and players for 2018 and we’ll share the news once pre-season training gets underway on our Dominic College oval in the summer holidays.
