During the term break I received a letter from our Provincial Fr Greg Chambers SDB regarding Fr Frank’s term as Rector of Dominic College coming to conclusion.
It is with sadness that we will farewell one of the Province’s most outstanding Salesians. We have indeed been blessed with Fr Frank’s wisdom and guidance for the last six years. He has been a wonderful advocate for the College, a source of deep spiritual guidance and ever faithful to the mission of Don Bosco.
He has been an incredible support to me during what are always challenging years in the transition from religious to lay leadership in a school. Fr Frank will be greatly missed by all in our community for his kindness, compassion, ready listening ear and his astute advice.
We will of course take opportunity at the end of the year to farewell Fr Frank. We will also be able to welcome Fr Peter Rankin SDB, who has long had the desire to join us here at Glenorchy. We extend our thanksgiving and prayers at this time of transition for Fr Frank as he prepares for further service at Salesian College in Chadstone.
May his excellent work continue to be blessed.
