International Women's Day is celebrated all around the world in March and is an opportunity to commemorate the achievements of girls and women, locally and globally.
At Dominic College, we are marking this day on Tuesday 5 March with a wonderful gathering of girls and women from our community. Girls in Years 5-10 and their mothers, grandmothers or older friends are invited to come together with our teachers and Old Scholars for breakfast 7.00am–8.30am in the Savio Centre.
The theme for International Women's Day this year is "Better the balance, better the world, calling for a more gender-balanced world.
We have invited one of our Old Scholars to join us for the occasion. Journalist, Jessica Sargent, who will speak about her education and her career.
We hope that you can join Jessica and many others for the occasion. Tickets should be purchased on line here: Womens Day breakfast tickets. The cost of tickets (including breakfast) is $15 (plus booking fee)
Proceeds from the breakfast go towards scholarships for girls to attend our Salesian sister school, Don Bosco High School in Salelologa Samoa.
Please support International Womens Day 2019.
