During our End of Year Awards ceremony on Friday 24 November we inducted Old Scholar, Mr Michael Lampard into our Hall of Achievement.
Making his operatic debut at age 16, Michael has become a nationally and internationally recognized Opera singer.
He has performed extensively with Australia’s leading performing arts companies including - Opera Australia, the Victorian Opera, the Melbourne Opera Company, Lyric Opera of Melbourne and the Victorian Youth Symphony.
Michael has performed across Asia, the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States and is an experienced conductor and composer, having original works performed in Australia, Japan, Italy and the United States.
It was with great pleasure that we were able recognise Mr Lampard as an outstanding performer who is held in the highest of esteem by his profession, his colleagues and the community.
He has achieved this through hard work, dedication to mastery, risk taking, service to the community and the courage to be whom God invited him to be.
Mr Lampard provided us with a wonderful gift at the ceremony by singing ‘Stars’ from Les Miserables.
I extend my gratitude to him for being such a gracious inductee, proud of and grateful for his formative education at Dominic College which encouraged and supported him to pursue his dreams.
