The traditional Dominic College carols and Mass was held Christmas Eve in the Chapel with a good attendance of old scholars, families and friends.
The evening commenced at 9.30pm with the congregation joining the choir in a selection of carols. Thank you to Anne Loring for organising the choir and musicians.
Anne said that the choir was a hybrid of singers/musicians from St John's Glenorchy Parish and Old Scholars and a parent of Old Scholars. 'The Dominic connections remain strong! This year we had two additional Old Scholars, which was fantastic.'
Fr Bernie Graham SDB conducted the Mass from 10pm and thanked everyone for keeping the tradition alive and commemorating the life of Br Peter Dezani SDB who so loved these community occasions. Mr Tony Webb again did a wonderful job in organising the booklets, readers, prayers and collection.
Many stayed for supper in the nearby Siena classroom, thoughtfully organised by Leesa Baker, Diane Cerritelli and Michael Webb. We are very grateful to these DOSA stalwarts.
Each year there is a variety of young and old scholars and families. The evening concluded just before midnight!
