On Sunday 16 October we held a very successful Family Photo Day. The day was fully booked and all families looked very happy with their photos. A massive thank you to Michael Webb, for donating his time to capture beautiful family images and to Nanette Dowling for organising and helping run the day so smoothly.
Thank you to all families who have sent back their Walkathon Forms and donations. A final count will be done this week to see which class raised the most and a lucky winner will be drawn out of the barrel to win the $50 Gift card. We are on track to fundraise $6000 to go towards furnishing the K-10 Library hub which is an amazing effort from the school community. Well done everyone!
The Annual General Meeting of the Dominic College Parents & Friends Community will be held on Wednesday 16 November 2016, upstairs in Grantleigh at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start. All executive positions will become vacant and the Committee welcomes anyone who would like to come along and see what we are all about. Please contact Nicola Rayner on 0437 195566 if you are interested or have any questions.
Roll Up, Roll Up, It’s Fair Time!
For the last few months, the Fair Committee has been hard at work putting together another amazing Community Fair and there will be a fantastic line up of stalls and entertainment for everyone to enjoy on the day.
Food stalls will include the ever popular Hot Chips, Pancakes, Nachos, Cam’s Curry, Gourmet BBQ, Icecream Buffet and much more. We are also introducing Hot Cinnamon Doughnuts this year and they will be a real treat.
Classroom Stalls include lucky jars, showbags, christmas craft, lolly guess, juggling balls, playdough, craft bags, cookies in a jar, lucky dips, greeting cards, lob a choc, lucky sticks and ping pong.
We will also have fresh flowers, treasure stall, Fudge a Fare, Massages, Christmas Craft, crazy hair, tattoos, face painting, plants, helium balloons, dunking machine and much more.
Sand’s Family Circus will be back this year to entertain us all again with their amazing acrobatic performances as well as Tas Reptilia, Pony Rides, Giant Slide, Jumping Castle, Sumo Suits, Choc Wheel, Silent Auction and more!
Raffle Books have been sent out to every family and they contain 10 tickets for $1 each. We have some amazing prizes on offer this year including a Playsafe Swing set, TSO and Theatre Tickets, Fuel and Travel Vouchers, Jag watch, $500 Visa Debit Card and an amazing Queen Mattress.
Thank you to all our supporters and to the businesses and individuals who have generously donated these prizes - it is greatly appreciated. Please return any unwanted tickets/books as soon as possible!
Volunteers are still needed to help run the Fair this year!! I would encourage all parents/guardians to donate just an hour of their time to help out as an hour of time given will result in a chance to win a $300 voucher to be used at either the Uniform Shop or to reduce School Fees.
Hundreds of hours go into planning and organising this event and a successful Fair can only be achieved with the help of the whole Dominic Community.
Please complete the electronic Fair volunteer form (link provided below) as soon as possible if you can spare any time to help out on Friday 4 November.
