Students helping Vinnies

Dominic College Year 10 student, and Vinnies president, Samarah Burke, presented Vinnies Youth Coordinator, Jayne Direen, with a cheque for $1200 from fundraising activities through the year.

Samarah said the students had worked tirelessly during the year to raise much needed funds for St. Vincent de Paul.

"We have sold chocolates, cooked barbeques, made and sold pancakes and hot drinks. As a community we have generously supported the Winter Appeal clothes drive and we are currently collecting food for Christmas Hampers."

Ms Direen thanked the group for their commitment and enthusiasm.

I look forward to working with Dominic’s strong group of students next year, who will continue these great efforts.
