Dear Friends
Welcome to the 2018 academic year. I hope all in our community enjoyed opportunities for rest and renewal during the summer.
I also hope all students are returning excited about the opportunities and the challenges of the year ahead.
A special welcome is extended to those students and their families who are joining our Dominic community. As our Kindergarten students and Year 7 students commence new stages in their lives, we also welcome a number of new students in Prep-Year 10 who have transferred to us from other schools. We are excited to have so many families choosing a Salesian Education. I extend my gratitude to all families for your confidence in entrusting your children into our care.
I would like to especially welcome Mr Stephen Casni our new Deputy Principal who brings great talent, energy and deep commitment to the Salesian educative process.
I also welcome to our College Leadership Team, Mrs Alicia McMahon, our new Director of Faith and Mission K-10 who like Steve, brings wisdom, diverse experience and a deep love of children. May their work with us and leadership be blessed.
Each new school year is a new beginning which can bring both excitement and feelings of anxiety in our children.
I encourage all families to talk through each day with your children, focusing on the positives of forming and renewing relationships, and the challenges and opportunities the year ahead holds for their learning.
Ms Beth Gilligan - Dominic College Principal
